The Inspect Sea Port Traffic Intelligent Monitoring SystemThe Inspect System from Fairview Analytics and GDSS is a Computer Vision system that works with Sea Port, Border Crossings & City CCTV systems to address these issues. The Inspect System is designed specifically to address all of the issues of automatically monitoring analysing and managing container and vechicle traffic. The InSPeCT system is the innovative Seaport Vehicle, Container / Trailer video monitoring system. Information on all transits are recorded by the InSPeCT system and visually analysed to provide Number Plate, Container Codes and Vehicle Category etc. Adding InSPeCT Wireless Sensors allows a new level of Truck / Container and Trailer analysis The road side images from the CCTV systems are captured by the Inspect system and analysed using the latest Computer Vision technology.
The Inspect system was designed in close association with Sea Port and Custom Authorities. These professionals ensured that the design addressed their specific issues and in a robust and easy-to-use system. The Technology for the Inspect System was developed in collaberation with renown Dublin City University (DCU) in Dublin, Ireland who have many years of expertise in Computer Vision systems.
Among the main features of the InSPeCT system are: · Works with the most existing road side CCTV Systems used in Sea Ports and City Traffic Management. · Thousands of camera feeds can be supported. · Identifies and records vehicle number plates as well as container numbers, vechilce shapes and classification. · Provides real time SMS alerting of vehicle number plates and container numbers on the watch list to authorities · Stores all events in a searchable image database · Allows ad-hoc searches on general vehicle shape such as car, van, bus, truck, etc. The intuitive searchable database is the key to the Inspect system. The Image Database can be searched in any number of ways, for example: - By Vehicle License Plate - By container Number - By general vehicle shape - By Time / Date / Route etc. The User Interface was designed in association with Port Authorituies, Customs Officers and City Traffic Management experts so it is simple and intuitive to use. |
